The “imposed” and “accepted” monopolisation of all profits by the “liberal international”, the sad spectacle of governments “playing” the helpless, increasingly intolerant, fundamentalist and violent religions, most of the media prostituted to the economy, the propagated image of social defeat, the same negative image of a youth that is supposed to be totally devoted to the economy, without ideals and paralysed…. clever manipulation of the economic dictatorship which tries to “de-motivate” any spirit of revolt.
The large multinationals of the developed countries are developing, the populations of the developed countries are underdeveloping, the third world is paying dearly for it, there is no longer any question of defending ourselves in a half-hearted way, we must act in order to “modify the nature” of our society. The economic power seems to know very little about the reactions of people and families in difficulty, who always and from time immemorial, react, revolt, refuse to be liquidated… we might as well fight and give ourselves at least a chance.
“The social sector must have a real political project”
Young people” must absolutely have a double project. To think only of entering the economic system is madness. You will have to fight like thugs to try to steal the few jobs offered by an economic system that seeks to eliminate as many as possible… to improve its profitability. This fight is a lost cause. Few will succeed and for how long!
Young people must invest part of their strength in a fight for transparency, for more justice, for more honesty in exchanges, for fair trade, for a hope for the future. This fight is certainly difficult considering the adversary, but much more secure for the future since it modifies the nature of the system, and no longer favours money to the detriment of people, but on the contrary, takes people mainly into account.
We must take up the fight like our elders, those who had to impose retirement, paid holidays, etc. on an intransigent and terrorist economic and political power. Who also had to convince sceptical and defeatist friends and colleagues. Today there are a multitude of difficulties and necessities, just like in those not so distant times, will we have their courage?
The doors are wide open for action, and movements such as that of 1789 or 1917 can be seen as revolutionary compared to the one we have to undertake today. The chance has never been so real to find a better “balance” because the change this time is “planet-wide”, the disaster, the communication, and the awareness is global. The other “movements” have all been undertaken on a more or less regional scale with “antagonistic zones” that are too important for its diffusion and success. This time the diffusion of change, the globalisation of change, the necessity of change, can allow it to impose itself everywhere and for everyone.
Our world today has to face: – overpopulation – numerous conflicts – serious ecological problems – health disasters – an overpopulation of nuclear power plants – so there is no question of repeating the mistakes of the past. We no longer have a choice, we are obliged to act in order to restore a minimum of balance. For the undecorated optimists who think that the situation will recover by itself or that it is not so bad, among the 50 million dead of the last war, there were 40 million who thought the same!
Young people with your energy and your refusal of injustice, older people with your experience, women who are still too often depreciated, believers, non-believers, we all have motivations and a fantastic hope, it is up to us to take the freedom to act.
